Maintenance 4.0 and the factory of the future at Setforge Hot Formers

On September 26, Mobility Work had the chance to speak during the industrial performance meeting organized by the Grand Est Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in Hagondange (57). The meeting took place at the Setforge Hot Formers factory, a subsidiary of Farinia Group specialized in the production of hot-forged parts for the automotive industry. The CCI Grand Est regularly organizes such meetings, during which local manufacturers are opened to another factory: it is an opportunity for professionals in the sector to exchange best practices and discover new possibilities.
Why bring technology and 4.0 innovations into the heart of factories
During this day, the manufacturers present were thus able to attend a presentation of Mobility Work CMMS, led by Anthony Blanchard (maintenance expert at Mobility Work). The tool has been in place at Setforge Hot Formers since 2015, which made it possible to concretely show visitors what CMMS brings to maintenance teams on a daily basis. Members of the Mobility Work team were also able to make the trip to answer the questions asked by visitors as comprehensively as possible. A number of them were particularly enthusiastic about the product and understood how interesting it was for small and medium-sized structures.

During the afternoon, local manufacturers therefore attended the CMMS presentation and were able to discover the potential of a 4.0 solution, after which the participants were invited to visit the Setforge Hot Formers factory. Vincent Thinus, director of the factory, was responsible for presenting the structure's activity, between the latest machines, hot forging and mobile CMMS software. The visit was an opportunity for the participants to maintain their network and to be interested in the latest innovations in the sector to boost their business.

Thanks to this event, manufacturers better understand why it is important to bring technology into factories, and that industrial maintenance is a sector directly concerned by the industry of the future. It is precisely thanks to the innovations of Industry 4.0 that factories are now improving their production and getting a head start.
Such initiatives, encouraged by the CCI Grand Est and which are being created thanks to the desire of local manufacturers to advance their sector, allow factories to discuss their various professions and to pool their efforts to change the tide.

Thanks to the Setforge Hot Formers factory for opening its doors on this day, as well as to Mr. Vincent Thinus for coordinating the various presentations and for sharing his field expertise. Finally, thanks to all the actors present during this visit.
Other sessions to present the Mobility Work maintenance management platform are planned in the coming months within Farinia Group.
