On 26 April, Setforge the Horme (42), a subsidiary of Farinia Group specializing in the production, machining, heat treatment and assembly of hot-forged components for the sectors of public works, heavy trucks, oil and gas, railways, etc., opened the doors of its factory to local manufacturers in partnership with the Club Gier. With 200 member companies from all sectors of activity, the Club Gier Entreprises is a professional association based in Saint-Chamond (42) whose aim is, among other things, to develop exchanges and a network of local businesses, to support and assist SMEs and SMEs in their development projects and commercial development, in particular through collective initiatives.

Great success for this new edition of the Maintenance Club

Organized every two months, Maintenance Club meetings fulfill a double objective: they allow the host company to open its doors, show its factory and promote its activity while strengthening its links with other manufacturers in the sector; they also make it possible to exchange best practices around industrial maintenance management, in particular through a presentation of the Mobility Work CMMS application. This has been in place at Setforge l'Horme since 2015, and has significantly improved internal maintenance management.

A morning between demonstration and application

The meeting was thus divided into two parts: a visit to the Setforge l'Horme factory was offered to the twenty participants. Divided into two groups led respectively by Didier Forestier, director of the Horme factory, and Lionel Raviscioni, his predecessor, the participants, including several members of the Mobility Work team, were thus able to discover the different stages of the hot forging process: design office, creation and warehouse of dies, matrix creation and warehouse, forging hammers, complex presses, heat treatment, machining, quality control service with live demonstration...

The participants were then directed to the nearby factory, Setforge Extrusion, specialized in cold forging. During the visit, Frédéric Carrot, plant maintenance manager, had the opportunity to briefly present the Mobility Work industrial maintenance application from his own smartphone, to explain the main advantages for him and his team, and to identify the main improvements observed since the implementation of the tool in his department. The speed of deployment, as well as the simplified creation of equipment, particularly interested the participants.

Following this very successful visit, the participants were invited to go to the premises of Club Gier in Saint-Chamond to continue the morning and attend a conference led by Marc-Antoine Talva, CEO of Mobility Work. Assistance was quickly plunged into the heart of the new generation maintenance management platform: creation of equipment, tasks and activities, real-time monitoring thanks to the news feed, live support, ultra-powerful analytical tools... all these themes aroused the interest of the audience, who in particular wanted to know more about The relevance of the CMMS application for their SME.

Mr. Raviscioni and Mr. Carrot also participated in the debate by bringing their experience during the deployment of Mobility Work, and by talking about the many advantages of the platform compared to other competing CMMS solutions.
