Setforge Barriol & Dallière Industries (BDI) is a subsidiary of Farinia Group specialized in the manufacture of pressed components that can measure up to 5 meters in length for the automotive industry, heavy goods vehicles and off-road vehicles. A year and a half ago, David Deschamps, the maintenance manager at BDI, decided to adopt a new CMMS software and embark on the adventure Mobility Work. In just a few months, this software became the cornerstone of the site maintenance network. Its ease of use, its design, its efficiency, and the network of machines available to users make it an indispensable tool.

Since when have you been using Mobility Work CMMS?

David Deschamps, Maintenance Manager at BDI Setforge Barriol & Dallière Industries : We have been using Mobility Work since June 15, 2015. I first tested the software on my side for 15 days. I quickly realized its potential, and I couldn't wait to deploy it in our factory.

Why did you choose mobility work over another CMMS?

Unlike the other CMMS software that we tested at BDI, Mobility Work managed to convince us thanks to its accessibility. You can connect anytime and from any device. All you need is a good internet connection.

Second, Mobility Work is extremely easy to use. You can very easily create and modify tasks, archive them or search for them. This tool makes it easy to manage our data. Images and other equipment documents can also be added quickly and easily. In reality, it only took us 2 days to register all BDI equipment.

And finally, Mobility Work provides access to an impressive database on equipment and professionals, to exchange experiences and compare equipment.

How did your team react?

Mobility Work's design is very intuitive and requires no prior training: the team quickly realized the effectiveness of the tool. What impressed them the most was the ease of recording data and activities. Colour-coding tasks greatly simplifies the workflow. The news feed was also very popular, as it allows you to quickly visualize the tasks to be completed.

What Mobility Work features couldn't you do without?

The software is constantly evolving and adapting to user demands, making it a particularly attractive tool. Features are updated every week. At BDI, we make a lot of use of the task list, which allows data to be analyzed quickly. The other features we use the most are the calendar, spare parts, data analysis retrieval, and the link with SAP for orders.

Are you happy with Mobility Work's support service?

Yes, absolutely. In reality, bugs are very rare. The support service intervenes directly in case of minor problems.

What are your future plans for Mobility Work?

Today, the BDI team includes 12 technicians who use Mobility Work on a daily basis. The next step is to convince all production managers in the factory to join the community as well and use the data in the tool.
