Webinar on the transition from paper-based maintenance to CMMS

Mobility Work organized its first webinar on 15 June. Devoted to the transition from paper-based maintenance to CMMS, this event allowed participants to discover the testimony of Thomas Lebeurrier, deputy maintenance manager at Abera, an agri-food SME that adopted the Mobility Work software in 2018. You can watch or rewatch this approximately one hour webinar by completing the form below.

Moving from paper-based maintenance to CMMS, a big step forward

After a quick presentation of the participants, Thomas Lebeurrier presented his experience of adopting a CMMS after using a management of paper maintenance for years. He detailed the many disadvantages of paper-based maintenance: loss of information due to the loss of “cards” where interventions were recorded, difficulty in finding information, especially during audits, organizational problem for the management of preventive maintenance, etc. For him, the adoption of Mobility Work CMMS represented a considerable advance in the management of maintenance within his company, by making it possible to avoid any loss of information, by greatly facilitating the search for equipment. and the information corresponding ones or by making it much easier to manage pending preventive maintenance actions.

Mobility Work, a CMMS solution that is easy to adopt

Returning to the process of adopting a new CMMS, Thomas Lebeurrier emphasized the ease of setting up Mobility Work, in particular thanks to the ergonomic and familiar interface “which resembles Facebook”. According to him, the few obstacles were the reluctance of personnel less familiar with new technologies and the process of registering all equipment, for which the company did not have any digital documents.

The Abera maintenance manager then detailed how he uses the Mobility Work application, stressing the functionalities he uses the most, in particular the management of intervention schedules, internal chat or the process of validating intervention requests made by production teams.

The benefits of switching from paper-based maintenance to CMMS

Frédéric Lefresne, maintenance and CSM expert at Mobility Work, then broadened the point of view by presenting other functionalities of the application and by providing some feedback from other users. The maintenance expert also provided some figures concerning the benefits of adopting a CMMS such as Mobility Work:

  • 5 to 10% increase in machine availability;
  • 5 to 10% increase in the lifespan of equipment;
  • 10 to 20% productivity gains within teams;
  • 1 to 2 days of maintenance service saved per month.

The last part of the webinar was devoted to questions from the participants, which focused in particular on the involvement of teams, in particular production personnel, in the process of adopting a CMMS, on the monitoring of KPIs, on the management of regulatory controls through the Mobility Work application and on the possibility of buying spare parts from suppliers directly from the Mobility Work Hub.

Mobility Work thanks everyone who attended this webinar and Thomas Lebeurrier and Abera for their availability.
