Depending on the sector, Computer-Assisted Maintenance Management solutions have become essential tools. It is crucial to choose the right one GMAO, according to the needs of the company, whether alone or with the help of a service provider.

Mobility Work: “In what context did the idea of deploying a CMMS solution emerge?

We knew the GMAO Mobility Work following its implementation in the Lyon 2 agency a few years ago. Pierre-Etienne Lebeau, method and expertise referent at an Engie-Axima agency (read her interview on the Mobility Work blog, editor's note), had told us about this solution and was very satisfied with it. Shortly after, we were contacted by a customer for a contract with a request for GMAO. Since we had been told about Mobility Work, we quickly decided to make an appointment with Anthony Blanchard, Account Manager at Mobility Work, who presented the solution to us. This CMMS perfectly met our expectations and met all our criteria.

Since when has the tool been in place at the Lyon 1 agency?

We have started to introduce the GMAO Mobility Work at Lyon 1 three to four months ago now, and it has been fully functional for a few weeks now. It is still very recent.

Overall, in terms of gross time (fill in the equipment and install the GMAO), everything happened quite quickly. Mr. Blanchard was at our side throughout the installation process to answer our questions and assist us. It therefore did not take us much time to understand the tool and get used to it, especially since for the moment only technicians and project managers use the application - however, we aim to soon allow our customers to use the solution.

What did you think of the data entry process?

Entering the equipment was not difficult, knowing that our contract did not include a lot of equipment to register. All you had to do was enter the equipment, their number, give them a name and associate a photo.

What convinced you to try the solution?

The positive feedback, but also the ease of use and the ergonomics of the application convinced us to adopt it. The freedom of the user also seduced us: with Mobility Work, he has control over the equipment he wants to integrate into the contract and can easily manage his organization. The accessibility of the interface and its attractive price are two elements that played a lot too.

We didn't even really need the trial period: during a meeting with the project managers for the contract in question, we attended a complete presentation of Mobility Work and that's how we were convinced.

What is the feature that you use the most and that you can't live without?

The Mobility Work maintenance management system is very new to us, we have not yet exploited all its functionalities. Thanks to the calendar's “click and drag” function, we can easily and quickly make all the necessary changes to the calendar, something we couldn't do as easily before.

The responsiveness of your teams is also a real plus: you have always been able to quickly answer our questions and provide the right solutions.

What version of our platform do you use most often?

We use both the web and mobile versions of the platform. Indeed, all our technicians have tablets, so they use the mobile application; business managers use the web version instead, from their desk. This is due to the fact that they use the application differently: business managers plan all interventions and organize preventive maintenance operations over the year; technicians carry out work orders and use checklists a lot. Thanks to them, they can keep an eye on the interventions carried out and they allow us to have a supervised follow-up.

Does Mobility Work CMMS assist you in your preventive maintenance approach?

Our job is to propose preventive maintenance strategies for all of our contracts. It is obvious that the GMAO Mobility Work accompanies and assists us in this process on a daily basis. Once all the information was recorded in the application, it was immediately possible for us to create work orders, intervention requests and to monitor our statistics.

We're not making much use of this last feature yet, but that's likely to change in a few months when we've saved a bit more data in the GMAO.

What are your company's future plans for the solution?

We would like to continue to develop the GMAO Mobility Work within our Engie Solutions agency in Lyon 1, and use it on many other contracts. But it is a project that has not yet been completed and is under discussion.”
